WALESBY PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the meeting of Walesby Parish Council held on Monday 13 January 2024 at 7.00pm in Walesby Village Hall.
Present:, Cllr David Thurman (Chairman), Cllr Tanz Norgrove, Cllr Peter Braithwaite, Cllr D Milles, Cllr Judith Sweny, Cllr Stephen Wilson, Cllr Mandy Ashley
In attendance: Mrs V Davies (clerk), WLDC Cllr M Westley
1/2025/APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.
Apologies were received from WLDC Cllr Stephen Bunney.
2/2025 PUBLIC FORUM.
Proposed Cllr Thurman seconded Cllr Braithwaite to suspend the meeting for a public forum. No items were raised.
Cllr Thurman proposed Cllr Wilson seconded to close the public forum.
3/2025 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST UNDER THE LOCALISM ACT.
There were no declarations of interest.
4/2025 TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 11.11.24
Proposed Cllr Norgrove, seconded Cllr Wilson and unanimously agreed to approve the minutes of 11.11.24. Cllr Thurman signed the minutes.
5/2025 CLERK REPORT AND CORRESPONDENCE
The clerk had written to the landowner regarding the hedges who had agreed to cut the hedges in the near future.
6/2025 FINANCE

Proposed Cllr Thurman, seconded Cllr Braithwaite and agreed by all Cllrs to approve the cheques.
Cllrs noted the financial reports. Cllr Thurman had verified the bank statement.
TO CONFIRM THE BUDGET
Proposed Cllr Thurman seconded Cllr Milles and agreed by all councillors to agree the budget Expenditure £2730, Income £2740 precept of £2730.00. Cllrs Thurman, Milles, Sweny and the Clerk signed the final budget paperwork.
6/202 HIGHWAYS UPDATE
Cllrs noted the highways report from Cllr Norgrove and thanked her. Members of the public were encouraged to report any faults on FIXMYSTREET.
Discussion took place with Cllr Westley regarding the condition of Moor Road. Cllr Westley would raise the issue. It was noted that there was no salt in the salt bin on Otby Lane. Cllr Norgrove would raise the issue on FIXMYSTREET.
7/2025. SITING OF DOG POO BIN & SIGNPOST
The dog poo bin had been sited on the post next to the bench. Cllr Thurman would contact the highways to request LCC to move it.
8/2025 PLANNING APPLICATIONS. TO CONSIDER ANY PLANNING APPLICATIONS AND TO NOTE ANY APPROVED SINCE LAST MEETING.
WL/2025/00006. Outline planning application to erect 1no. two storey dwelling. LAND ADJACENT SPRINGFIELD, RASEN ROAD, WALESBY, MARKET RASEN. LN8 3UW
The parish council considered the application. There were no objections at this stage. The Parish council would comment further on submission of final plans.
8/2025 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting would take place on Monday 10 March 2025 at 7.00 pm.
The meeting closed at 7.30 pm.
